All About Mrs. Wherritt...
Hi my name is Judith Wherritt and I’m a fourth grade teacher at Shady Brook Elementary. I currently live in Kannapolis with my husband and mini dachshund, Sallie. In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
I am originally from the small town of Cleveland, North Carolina and attended college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While at UNCC, I earned my bachelors in Elementary Education in 2009. After some substitute teaching and an interim position, I began my teaching career with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools at University Meadows Elementary where I taught third grade. Over the 2012 summer I joined the Shady Brook family and moved up to teach fourth grade. I love fourth grade and am looking forward to another awesome year!
Educational Philosophy/Vision:
I am very excited about the upcoming school year and am looking forward to a year celebrating much success! I love watching my students progress throughout the year and I believe there must be a strong partnership between home and school for students to be successful.
